ITINERARY

DAY 1 HUE – HOI AN 90KM CYCLING (L, D)

On the first day, we’ll drive by bus 18km out of Hue to the coast. There, we’ll begin riding off the beaten track for 40km along a picturesque, narrow peninsular road from Thuan An Beach to Vinh Loc. We’ll hop on a local ferry to cross an estuary of the Perfume River before re-mounting our bikes on Highway 1. Here, we will cycle the first of the day’s three hill climbs. In the evening, we’ll check into the hotel in Hoi An, enjoy dinner, and settle down for the night.

DAY 2 HOI AN LEISURE CYCLING 30KM CYCLING (B,L)

After a leisurely breakfast in this old trading port, we’ll take the bikes for a ride around the city and into the villages of the surrounding countryside. We’ll briefly cycle to the quaint village of Thuan Tinh, set among rice fields and coconut groves. We’ll also stop to check out a strawberry garden and meet local villagers. The rest of the afternoon is yours to relax at the beach.

DAY 3 HOI AN – QUANG NGAI – QUI NHON 50KM CYCLING (B, L, D)

We’ll depart from Hoi An early in the morning and transfer to Quang Ngai. There, we’ll unload the bikes for a leisurely ride to Qui Nhon, the capital city of Binh Dinh Province. During the Vietnam War, Qui Nhon was a US-held port, supply center, and refuge for thousands fleeing massive bombing in the countryside. We’ll stay overnight in this city.

DAY 4 QUI NHON – NHA TRANG 70KM CYCLING (B, L, D)

The fourth day’s ride is along on a single little road that follows the Reunification Express Railway. Again, we’ll transfer out of town to avoid the main highway. Start riding along a remote, but well-maintained road running alongside the tracks. Along the way, we’ll stop at Dai Lanh beach for refreshments and a dip in the sea before continuing on to Nha Trang for our overnight stay.

DAY 5 NHA TRANG BOAT TRIP (B, L)

Following breakfast, we drive to Nha Trang Pier for an authentic seacoast experience on a morning boat trip, first to the wondrous aquarium and then to Hon Mun Island. Swim and snorkel in the crystal clear waters. From here, continue to Hon Tam Island, where you have the choice of relaxing on the beach or going for the more energetic – water sports. Enjoy a seafood lunch at the fishing village of Lang Chai and explore a little before boarding the boat back to Nha Trang. Visit by car to the 9th century Po Nagar Cham Towers and Long Son Pagoda with its enormous Buddha or visit Dam Market in the afternoon.

WHAT YOUR TOUR INCLUDES

Click on the tabs below to see more information

Biking guides are first aid qualified and can maintain bikes. Their role is to deliver a safe and enjoyable tour to the clients, they manage the group, co ordinate the driver and support vehicle, buy snacks and fruit along the way, look out for clients needs. They are cultural guides as well as pure biking.

Next to our guides, the most important essential we provide is equipment. Mountainbikes are definitely the most useful type of bicycle on all terrains we cycle. As we always aim to cycle the less explored roads, it means we also often have to conquer the challenges of potholes and unpaved roads. The mountainbikes we provide are international standard bikes and maintained by our guide team themselves.

Private air-conditioned for a group from pick up and all support until drop off at the end (one 16 seater regarding group size of 1-5. One 25 seaters from 6-9, one 35 seater regarding group size 9-10 and one 45 seaters for group size of 11 – 16). We may use truck(s) along with van to carry bikes & bikers in some road condition.

Meals in local restaurants as mentioned in the itinerary. (B= Breakfast, L= Lunch, D= Dinner)(depending on condition of local area, we have picnic for lunch sometimes).  Vegetarians and vegans are well-catered for and should you have any other dietary restrictions, please just inform us before hand and we will strive to meet them.

Water, snacks, fresh fruits, cool towel for cycling days.
